Today, everything indicates that OpenAI is laying the foundation for a new digital operating system \u2013 one that is no longer based on icons and apps, but on language and context.<br\/>What is emerging in October 2025 is nothing less than the beginning of a new era of user experience: the <strong>conversational platform<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<!--more-->\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. The Chat Becomes the Control Center<\/h2>\n\n<p>Imagine you are planning a weekend trip.<br\/>Previously, you would open Booking.com, Google Maps, Spotify, and Canva one after another \u2013 to organize a hotel, route, playlist, and perhaps a mood board for the trip.<br\/>Today, you simply type into ChatGPT:<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;Book me a hotel in Amsterdam for two nights, good location, under 250 Euros \u2013 and create a playlist for the drive right away.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p>And suddenly, ChatGPT not only responds itself but <strong>collaborates with other apps<\/strong>: @Booking.com suggests hotels, @Spotify plays music, @Canva offers a travel collage. All within the same chat. No app switching, no tab chaos, no break in thought.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This is not a dream of the future \u2013 this is the new <strong>&#8220;Apps in ChatGPT&#8221;<\/strong>.<br\/>OpenAI has turned the concept of the App Store on its head: Instead of you opening apps, <strong>they come to you<\/strong> \u2013 within your conversation context.<\/p>\n\n<p>Big names are involved from the start: Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Expedia, Figma, Spotify, Zillow.<br\/>Anyone using ChatGPT in the USA or other non-EU countries (whether with a Free, Plus, or Pro account) can already test the new feature.<br\/>In Europe, we will have to wait a little longer \u2013 language support and data protection issues are slowing down the rollout.<\/p>\n\n<p>But the direction is clear: <strong>ChatGPT will become the command center for digital services.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Conversation as the New User Interface<\/h2>\n\n<p>OpenAI itself talks about making ChatGPT an <strong>app platform<\/strong> \u2013 but in reality, it is about more.<br\/>It is about a new way of thinking: away from buttons, towards meaning.<br\/>Why click through menus when you can simply say what you want?<\/p>\n\n<p>This principle is called <strong>Conversational UI<\/strong> \u2013 and it could become the most significant paradigm shift since the introduction of the iPhone.<br\/>If ChatGPT becomes the central interface, the competition shifts.<br\/>It is no longer the app, but the <strong>dialogue<\/strong> that is the currency.<br\/>And whoever controls the dialogue controls access to users.<\/p>\n\n<p>This puts OpenAI in the role once held by Apple with its App Store:<br\/><strong>Gatekeeper of digital interaction.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>And of course, this opens up new monetization models \u2013 such as commissions for transactions directly in the chat. It is foreseeable that OpenAI will act as a platform operator in the future, no longer &#8220;just&#8221; as a provider of a language model. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Agents Instead of Click Workflows<\/h2>\n\n<p>While ChatGPT becomes the platform on the frontend, OpenAI is building another revolution in the background: the <strong>AgentKit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>What at first glance sounds like a developer tool is, in reality, an attempt to <strong>reinvent business automation<\/strong>.<br\/>AgentKit allows small AI agents \u2013 specialized &#8220;mini-programs&#8221; \u2013 to be <strong>created visually<\/strong>, without code, purely through logic and natural language.<\/p>\n\n<p>An example:<br\/>An insurance company wants to automatically triage incoming customer emails, check claims data, and generate responses.<br\/>Instead of linking multiple tools, one can now use the &#8220;Agent Builder&#8221; to drag and drop an agent that does exactly that \u2013 including access to internal databases, API calls, and chat responses.<\/p>\n\n<p>The whole thing is <strong>low-code<\/strong>, but AI-native:<br\/>The agents do not think in &#8220;if-then&#8221; rules, but in <strong>goals<\/strong> (&#8220;resolve claim,&#8221; &#8220;classify request,&#8221; &#8220;respond empathetically&#8221;).<br\/>With this, OpenAI directly challenges providers like Zapier or Make.com \u2013 with significantly more intelligent logic.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. What This Means for Businesses<\/h2>\n\n<p>For businesses, all of this is not a distant vision, but a <strong>strategic course setting<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Product teams<\/strong> should ask themselves: How can our service function as a ChatGPT app? What added value arises if users can simply &#8220;call&#8221; us \u2013 in the chat? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IT teams<\/strong> should test initial workflows in AgentKit \u2013 for example, for internal support processes or reporting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>UX designers<\/strong> should think of language as an interface: What does a brand feel like when it speaks?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And <strong>decision-makers in the EU<\/strong> should keep in mind that new features often launch later there. A staggered rollout strategy (Non-EU \u2192 EU) can help gather early experience. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
